Accent energy is a unethical company!!

Accent energy in Texas is a unethical company. I own a business in the Dallas area and signed up with accent energy because they had good rates at the time with no deposit. I called them a few times in 2009 and asked them what the cancellation fee was because I knew rates had dropped quite a bit. I had a 3 year contract. Both times I called them they gave me totally different amounts. I called them only a few days apart. Well in 2010 I closed my business down and they sent me a final bill for $9,000.00! Almost $6,000 was for a cancellation fee. In their agreement it says if you move locations or close you will not be charged a cancellation fee. This cancellation fee was more than what they quoted me last year. It should have gone down since I have less time on my lease. I would not recommend this company. I have been using Startex at my residence for over 2 years and I am very pleased with them!

Could not get through to make a payment

Tried to make a payment to Dynowatt company could not get through waited on the phone over 35 minutes never did get through. I wonder are they going to reimburse me for the time spent on the cell phone.Lets just say I am not going to hold my breath on that one. Received late payment notice could not get through once again. Went on line could not get the online payment to go through. How are we suppose to keep good credit if they keep making it harder to make payments on time? I tried to switch to a different electric company would not take me unless I put a deposit of 500.00 dollars due to a divorce wich forced me into bankruptcy. Never had bad credit until all this happened.

You could sign up for auto pay or set your self up for automatic bill pay with your bank. There are many different ways to pay. Sounds like you waited til the last minute.

Never had to call somebody to pay my bills...

Dynowatt - payment processing & contract cancellation fees

Be Aware: 1st) not noticing until after my account was closed, I had been charged late fees on 2 occasions when my bank delivered payments on the due date (a Friday) but Dynowatt did not process them until the following Monday. guess they don't do payments on Fridays? 2nd) within 30 days of the end of my 12 month contact, upon prodding from emails from dynowatt that my contract was ending soon, I switched providers (found a better price). I was slapped with a $150 contract cancel fee because it wasn't within 14 days of the contract end. Seriously, 10 business days?! The contracts read that these contract cancel fees are supposed to be reasonable estimates of loss and not a penalty. Given the time left in the contract (less than 30 days), is $150 really a reasonable estimate. Result: so they gained $150 in an additional fee, but guaranteed no further business. Not exactly a plan for long term growth.

Dynowatt did nothing wrong!!!

I am a enrollment rep for Dynowatt and Accent energy. First thing you need to know is we don't make the energy. Dynowatt and Accent is an ESCO (electric service company) we buy it just like you do. Dynowatt only offered a varible previously because this is how we kept the prices down for our customers. When the price went down for us it in turn went down for you. Fair right. This was true for many years. The energy market in all aspects changes based on many factors, However mainly by the evil hands that control it. Trust me, It is not Dynowatt doing this to you. Little as you want to believe it, you can blame this on Texas's favorite son. With HIS war effort and hidden goals. He is the figure head for the manipulative elite. Big bussiness, energy tycoons, and banking cartels. Years ago his father said we will be moving torwards a new world order. Now we are starting to see it. The price of gas and energy is just a small part of it. Thier old Grand Daddy had been dealing in the energy bussiness for decades building strong ties to the Rockerfellers, Melons and the Powers. In fact Rockerfellers' lamp oil monopoly was the first company to every be deregulated. Which was only a scam, power broken over five companies owned by the same man. Prescott Bush was also the first to establish a bussiness relationship with the Bin Laden family, How do you think he beat Exxon in a bid for the off shore oil rig. Look it up smarty pants. You can use the internet to complain, why don't you use it to learn something. Do you know how many Relient customers called to lock into Dynowatt's fixed rates because the varible rate they were on sky rocketed. How many CP&L, how many Stream and so on. Everyone on a varible rate with any company was affected. Now many people who switched are calling to come back. "Reliant is charging me fees i never saw with you guys. My taxes alone are twenty dollars more." Welcome back to Dynowatt. Second: Texas state regulations say that a move in is to be held at priority over a product switch. That is why a new customer can be enrolled in a shorter ammount of time. Any connect fees are charged by the Utility, ie. Centerpoint, Oncor, AEP not by us. Third: We sent emails to all Dynowatt customers with valid emails letting them know about the increase and and that we are now offering fixed rates. Many of the emails were spammed because the head said Accent energy and not Dynowatt. You can be the judge of where the fualt lies there, but an attempt was made. Now we revamped the paper bills to let our customers know about the fixed rate. Fourth: The Dynowatt call center has only thirty reps. Fifteen customer service. Ten enrollment reps and five email and IM. The week this blew up we had no idea this was going to happen. The call flow was so huge we can only fit forty people in our back lines. That lets you know how prepaired we were for this. Fifth: Every Texas electric customer should Be happy for what Accent and Dynowatt has done for them. Twenty Five years ago we pioneered deregulation in Texas. So now instead of one company charging you whatever they want and getting super duper rich. Many companies can compete for your bussiness. This actually keeps prices low and most of all gives you choice. Isn't that what makes the consumer number one. I want you to choose us. Oh, we now offer fixed green energy plans 100% Texas wind baby... do your part. Lastly. I appriciate every last one our customers. I don't think you can understand how hard it was to tell them there is nothing I can do. Elderly women crying, pissed men cursing my family, mothers asking me how they are going to pay rent and feed thier kids. They certainly don't pay me enough for that. Matt. M

Dear matt m, I agree george bush was an *** *** and did help 2 raise energy costs, HOWEVER....what caused the problems we all had with gougowatt last august is this.

Dynowatts power buyers up in ohio, never deramed it would get as hot as it did last summer and so when they bought thier power blocks to resell to us the sucker consumer, they failed miserably to buy enoughf power to supply their very own customers with( did they think all the variable customers were going 2 drop off the face of the planet?) and when things got hot, they were caught with their pants down and decided to pass the ol buck off to those with variable rates rather than just eat the mistake...

It would b nice if the puc could change the rules and put some sort of a VERY reasonable cap on just how much a utility can hose us when the compnay doesnt do its part..

2 put the blame wholey on george the *** bush shows your somewhat limited persipcasity.

I hated bush from the second he announced he was running back in 2000.. sorry to say i knew exzactly what was comming with him and his grand "show" called 911..(art thruout history and mans ability to manipulate the truth has been what makes men powerfull)..

too bad the rest of you didnt see it comming.

but to put gougowatts problems on the *** is just too much 2 ask.

Guest

Matt...can I borrow some of what your smokin, because I am looking at your bill and I must be hallucinating.

Dynowatt will take advantage of their variable customers -- buyer beware. Dynowatt will comment that everyone raised rates and it was a terrible summer in 2011...oh wait Matt wrote this in 2008..

I see a trend here...Dynowatt does not know how to manage power in the hot Texas summers...not every summer but some.

Others raised there rates from 11cents to 12-16 cents. Dynowatt went to 24 cents on my bill.

Guest

Dynowatt is a ripoff, how can they justify a 100%+ rate hike.

I live in a 2 bedroom apartment and have a 620.00 electical bill, for 2 frigging bedrooms.

I switched to TXU and Dynowatt deserves to go out of business for being money-gouging jackanapes. I am not gonna pay a dime of this bill, and I suggest everyone that is fed up to switch and not pay their bill.

Take back control, and show the REPs here in Texas we aren't gonna take their bullshirt any more.

Guest

I just got my Dynowatt bill and it doubled plus!

The rate is 0.218 and we were not aware of any increase. No email no notice just a $1287.00 bill. I have spent three hours now on hold trying to figure out what happened.

I hope someone will post something that will help explain the rate increase.

Guest

Enrollment rep, Matt M.

Your quite the dumb dumb, *** yes you will say what you did, why cause you don't want to look for a different job, grow up, just who do you think will belive you when you say they did nothing wrong, my my it must be nice to have that kind of thought train, did you get a pay raise ?

Guest

I have been with Dynowatt for approx. 3 years and have been totally happy.

I have saved a ton of money dumping TXU. I was a little scared of Dynowatt because I had read some complaints about poor service and price gouging. Well they finally got around to sticking it to me. I have been paying .108 cents per kwh for many months now and I just got my August 2011 bill.

They charged me .185 cents per kwh. Thats an 80% increase in one month. That would be like gasoline going from $3.00 a gal. to $5.40 a gal.

in one month.

I havent called them yet but I expect I will be changing provider again. I dont do business with crooks!

Guest

Blame is on BUSH please...at least he didn't raise taxes on everything in sight!

Guest

Amazing...I never got an email, nor a letter saying what my new starting rate on the variable plan would be after my locked in rate expired. If you read Dynowatts sign on agreement thay have to tell you what the starting rate is before the variable hits you so you have an idea what you will be getting. Sadly, the State of Texas is in bed with the electric companies and did nothing about this when I placed a complaint.

Guest

you dynowatt!!! Connect someone else Meter Number to my address, and make me pay for it. cant wait to dump you for another provider

i have not received any email from dynowatt regarding my term and service, so stop lying

Dynowatt-Accent Energy RiP OFF

Below is part of the complaint I just mailed to PUC Texas. I'm switching to Reliant Energy, Call them, they have 10% off Summer with $75.00 credit, 14.22 & 15.8 locked in rate for 2 years. Takes 3 weeks to change so I will be eating P&J for 2 months. And no service fee. You have to call in for this. Dynowatt is a total rip off. I urge you to write the Public Utilities Commission or File a Complaint online. On 6-24-2008 I received an email from Lia Imondi (lisaimondi@***.com) Dynowatt. Subject: Important information about your Electric Bill. In it stated that Electricity rates will be rising due to various impacts in email. In the Email it stated that we could go to a Fixed Rate Plan from Dynowatt & receive $100.00. 2 Years Win Win & that they are the ONLY ONLY ones that allows you to reset and reduce your rate should electricity prices decrease. The email indicated that this is a limited time offer & you can do this immediately. I checked online our account, our cycled ended on the date 6/24/2008, the same date I received the email, there was no indication that this cycle was tremendously effected, but next one. After seeing no rate change, (bill was not viewable but last one) and no notice of any new rate, I waited for the bill to come in on the 28th to call with payment and to talk to a service rep on changing to immediate fixed rates. Our Bill came in on the 28th, $990.02, .25139 per kw charged for the Past month. I tried to call Monday to Dynowatt, they were taking no calls due to high call volume. On Tuesday, I had my wife call with me present in the room. This is what they told her. They will not be giving any discounts to any customers. Some Customer bills are as high as $1800.00. When asked why they did not indicate the rate of .25139 on their email and why sent that rates would increase after the fact, they said they were not obligated to inform us or show on their site for information. When asked to be put immediately on the fixed rate, we were told they would be happy to enroll us immediately…. BUT it would not take effect for 3-4 WEEKS. We would still be paying the .25139 until then, just like a new person switching electricity companies. The immediate offer is only for NEW customers. They did say they could immediately change the rate if they took it out of my Name and put it in my Wife’s name as a new service without electricity, then they would come out tomorrow and there would be a service fee! When mentioned to them that when we started their service they guaranteed the lowest electricity in our area, so if another company was .145, they would be .144 or such, they stated they changed that Plan last year, and put us on a monthly variable because they lost that partnership. We did not receive notice, they said they mailed out this information, but did not put it on their website. They apologized that we did not receive it but too bad. The email is misleading that they sent us that it is not immediate on the rate decrease. Further, they are not the only ones that will allow you reduce your rates on a fixed plan. They are misleading on the email that the rates are increasing, but did increase and sent purposely on the date that the bills were already completed and increased. And yet when checking online the bill was not viewable or any mention of rate. They are now one of the highest rates in Texas with the .25139. We have never paid our bill late, we have been excellent customers, Dynowatt is misleading customers with this email on immediate fixed rate change in order to gain another month of inflated fees. I called other companies, on their plans if you change plans, it doesn’t take 3 to 4 weeks because you are a current customer, this is an outrage. Really ticked off in Texas!

We had the same problem in the summer of 2008. They went from the cheapest to the most expensive in Texas in one month, with NO warning. Our bill went from around $200 up to $1200!

We switched immediately to Reliant, but it took 3 weeks. So we ended up owing Dynawatt close to 2-thousand dollars.

We're old and pay cash for everything, so we don't care about credit scores. So we just never paid that bill.

I sent them a payment in the amount it would have been if the rates had not changed so I don't feel like I stole my electricity. But they can take the rest of that bill and shove it. In 2 years we never god a collection call either. :)

Guest

Do not do business with Dynowatt, they refuse to give you service when you request, unless you pay a fee, and do not understand how to communicate with the energy company that owns the meters. Centerpoint owns the meters in our area an according to the city and centerpoint dynowatt has the responsibility to contact them to request service, dynowatt tells me they are not allowed to contact center point.

They refuse to turn on power on the date you request, unless you pay them a fee. We are going to reliant, they are 24/7, dynowatt does not speak to customers after 6pm or before 8 am, it is immpossible to reach someone on the phone and they hand up on you.

Guest

New Dynowatt scam-- Dynawatt slammed me to a new provider, Accent Energy, the company that owns Dynowatt. So right off the bat I'm stuck for $150 cancellation fee which I did not agree to and I see more fees coming my way since I can't find a bill for the last month on line. Texas PUC has been notified but I maybe getting attorneys involved now.

Guest

I am on the 2 year fixed rate and I have 17.1 KWH

I think i can handle that, plus I really like them & they never turn my electric off when i am really late paying. I shoot

them a email tell them the day i can pay, they note my account and It's all good. They are nicer and will work with you i you have problems that month.

When I was with TXU and Relient they would have a man outside my house trying to turn my electricity off if I was just 1 day past due, they want that $150 dollar reconnect fee bad!

and all the late fees and all the extra added fees - even when i did pay on time my bill was always much high or even double then my DYNOWATT bill has ever been.

Dynowatt .

To be fair i also got a high high bill in July.I couldnt believe it I have never had a high bill from them,I always told people how low my bills are.

what I did is sign up for the 2 -year plan,I bought all new flouresent light bulbs, replacing all my regular light bulbs.

I cleaned my a/c air vents out(which i forget to do alot)

I made sure my a/c units had no grass around them and i had them set off the ground a bit.

I bought 2 dryer balls for when i dry clothes(yes they do work they cut the dying time down 35%-40%.)You can get them at Wallgreens or online.

I bought outside sensor lights and started air drying my dishes insted of heated dry in the dishwasher.

All of this took my bill down over $200.00, I will show anyone that would like to see the before and after

amount on my new bill.

it went from $450-$315-$240, and probably even lower net month live in a 2800 square foot newer house.

you will notice a difference on your bill in about 1 to 2 months.

I swear I am not with the company,I just feel that it is worth writing all this- if I can help someone struggling to save money on their electric bill.

and buy lots of fans celing fans floor fans, taht way you can run your a/c on 79 or even 80and you will be totally comfortable.

Every room in my house has a celing fan and a floor fan.Since i bought a fan for my daughters room and my roommates room they do not complain about the house being hot!

have a great day saving money:)

Guest

THANK GOD I checked the web for complaints! I was fixing to switch to these guys from my current provider, but after reading these postings will keep searching! Although - what can you expect from a Yankee company based out of OHIO!?!?!?!

Guest

it wasnt a variable rate plan when I signed up!

Dynowatt screwed me too ... I will be changing providers !

Guest

They did the exact same thing to me! I have found numerous Dynowatt complaint web sites all for the purpose of the many people Dynomwatt did this to in North Texas. I've switched and I hope everyone who Dynowatt ripped off does the same.

Guest

I agree with you in all of what you wrote. It is an outrage.

I filed a complaint with the Texas PUC but don't expect any relief from them. Nothing to do but pay it and try to keep the blood pressure down. I nearly had a stroke when I read my bill; from 14.5 to .25139 unbelievable and unsustainable. I am leaving them.

The prices aren't going down any time soon. Dynowatt is stealing and with this deregulation of electricity companies in Texas, there may be nothing we can do about it besides switch companies, file complaints with the PUC and pray.

Dynowatt owned by Accent Energy

My bill went from $295 to $705 and I thought it was a mistake or a misread meter. Then I saw they were charging almost $0.24 per kWh which explained the outrageous increase. I sent an email and got a standard form letter response. I sent another and got another standard form letter response. Didn't get an actual response from that email until 5 weeks later. Please everyone email the following like I have.....if enough of us complain maybe we can get something done..... Texas Public Utilities Commission Texas Attorney General Texas Better Business Bureau Ohio Better Business Bureau Channel 11 Investigators Come on, let's work together and get something done about this rip off. I currently owe them over $1500 for about $900 worth of electricity! It took over 2 weeks to switch companies and they just kept price gouging. They have responded to the BBB complaint and TPUC complaint and basically said tough we can price gouge without prior notification so pay your bill; we will not readjust to the going rate.

Dynowatt does a number on their consumers

Notice I didn't day Customers. Most companies would not treat their customers this way, Our bill this month was $765.00. Rates went from .16 to .24 per KW Last June our rates were .13 per KW We got all kinds of reasons why the rate increased. They were planning for the hurricane season was a good one. They have to increase rates because of rising energy costs was another. The best one was " It is what it is" If they did not have the ability to power all the consumers on their plan right now they would start having black outs. The technology is there. There are no new hires. There are no new generator plants popping up in a few days to meet Supply and demand. They are on the same band wagon as big oil. They are going to do what they want and nothing you can do about it but switch and if you do they still own you for 2 payments and multiply that by the numbner of customers. Someone is getting a pretty good bonus this quarter. Shame on them. Shame on the regulators that dont make it a law that they have to notify you in a reasonable amount of time if there is going to be a rate increase.

I am a Dynowatt customer,my rate went up and not quite doubled on one of my bills- then i enrolled in the 2 year flat rate plan-for signing up Dynowatt sent me a $100.00 check. Since I have the flat rate and i was sent a $100,00 everything has evened out.Even though I am paying 16 KWH.

I still get lower bills from Dynowatt then other companies in the past,. They hardly ever charge late charges and their base price is still cheaper.

Another thing I like about them is they give you lots of time to pay and do not turn off your electricity if you are late. When I was with Reliant Energy as soon as the day arrived that my bill was past due-I would hear the Reliant truck out in front of my yard ready to turn off my electricity, same goes for TXU.If I don’t have the money to pay one month I call or email Dynowatt tell them when I can pay the bill and they leave my electric on.

Guest

I am having a billing problem with Dynowatt. My bill last month was $585 dollars.

The bill I jut got today is $646 dollars. I'm a single mom so this hurts a lot. I have two more weeks until my switch to another provider takes effect and am stuck paying these high bills that I can't afford until it takes effect (or not pay and have it reported on my credit). I was a customer for a year with my variable rates always low at around .12 or .13 and low bills, never late, always paid on time.

The last two months my rate jumped to .22 and .24. Dynowatt refused to give the really low fixed rate they offer new customers when I called to complain (they were really rude too). They are not honoring their promise to always beat Reliant's rates which is what they promised me when I switched. So I'm leaving and I will never go back to those crooks.

I got no warning that my rate would over double and this should be illegal if it's not! I filed a complaint with the PUC, wrote the governor and news media.

Guest

Guest

Governor can't be re-elected after 2 terms, can he/she? In any event, the Governor is not there for the people.

Nothing to be done for it but pay. I just can't believe that the deregulation of electricity in Texas was setup to beat the consumer into the ground without any recourse. The PUC didn't respond to me; not that I expected them to.

It's horrible. My bill went from $300 to $965 in one month!

Guest

I am in the same situation also and finding more information all the time about these electric companies. Seems they can go in business with as little as 100 thousand backup money.

If they don't hedge their funds then they pass it on to the consumers. 5 companies in Texas have defaulted on their customers. How many more before the PUC is going to step in for the consumer???? What they don't tell you is they are still making money because they set there rates according to the price of natural gas but they still are making money buying electric that is made from coal as it is cheaper to produce.

. This is a mess in my opinon and might get worse before it gets better.

There are way to many loopholes for them to slide through too. We as a consumer are at the mercy of these big companies.

Guest

Same boat you are in. Contacted the PUC and they sent the same canned response that Dynowatt is sending customers.

PUC members are appointed by the governor. I've wrote the govenor and encourage everyone to do the same.

Will be a factor in my vote next election....

Raised rates without warning

Dynowatt.. is not only lacking in itegrity but professionalizum as well. I have never done business with any individual or any business who is as unprofessional and unethical as Dynowatt. If I ran my business using their business tactics and practices I would be out of businees. Charging customers .12 to .16 cents per kwh over a course of some 20 months then without notice bill at a rate of over .25 per kwh is totally unexceptale and unrealistic. Depending on previous rates billed as described this could be considered a more than 50% increase and surely not less than 32% in one month. I don't think so...How can that be possible? Try and contact them and they don't have the deciencey to even pick up the phone and talk to you in person. I have tried several times. Instead their recording says unusually high call volume, please send email. No wonder there coustomer care department is so over wheelmed with business practices like this. Do you really want to do business with someone like that??? I wish I would have had this information avalible to me when I originally signed up with them and I wouldn't be here writting this today. So please take my advise, research your provider and stay away from these people.never use these people. Chip

Dynowatt (aka Accent energy) doubled rates in 1 month

In the last six months dynowatts rates have not gone up more than a penny per kwh... until last month when they shot our rate up from .164 to .248 (66%) When I finaly got them on the phone, the csr would not talk about negotiating the rate. "you have been charged for the energy used" "were real sorry about the increase, but if you sign up for 24 months we will give you a discounted rate of .152 per kwh. Scam !!! unfair rate increase !! we're hiring a lawyer to sue them for price gouging. This has got to be illegal !

They are doing it again, rate increase in 1 month from 0.07 to .181 per kWh. Really, natural gas prices have not moved much, the weather is cooling down so some type of BS peak power fee is unfounded.

Should be called dynosuck!

Because that is exactly what they do. The freaking suck! I unforetuneately just signed up for this ridiculous company because i was in a hurry and needed pwr in my new house within the week. So we sign up online and then even call in to confirm the receipt of our order. We updated to a priority move-in and were told our power would be activated within 3 days. Low and behold the *** working there couldn't give me any reason why my request hadnt been submitted. I talked to over 20 people, including coorperate and everyone seems to have no clue what is going on or how to do their one step above fast food jobs. It is now 10 days later and my electricity still has not been turned on. Screw this company i havent even been billed yet and already i hate them. I can't wait until six months is up because this is the absolute worst company ever. We are contacting the better business bureau and filing complaints everywhere and anywhere we can. i hope this company goes under with its price gauging and the incompetancy of every employee there. love, sarah

Dynowatt - Rip Off

Without notice, this electric power provider in Texas raised its kWh rate from 16 to 25 cents - the highest in the state. My monthly bill went from $345 to $895. Then they offered to lock me into a contract for "fixed rate". I think their new parent company Accent Energy is looking to jazz up their books so they can flip this company. By locking in as many existing customers as they can, they have something to sell. Also, customer service is horrible. You cannot get through by phone, only e-mail. Get out while you can. Go to a reputable power provider like TXU (I did), Reliant, or Direct Energy.

Just got off the phone with Dynowatt. Last month they put it to me in the form of .23 kwh so I voiced my concern.

I of course immediately switched back to Reliant. I still tried fighting with Dynowatt but did not get anywhere. The last conversation with the floor supervisor at Dynowatt told me that I could not do anything at all and filing a complaint with the PUC with do absolutely nothing either. Extremely rude people.

When Dynowatt came into town they advertised that they would be 20% lower than Reliant. Customer service a--hole asked if I could dig up that information and I told him yes. He then said that it would be long expired anyway. I asked why they could not inform their customers of the future increases.

I was told that they did not have the man power to call everybody on the phone. No *** Simply put a message or reminder in the envelope with the bill.

This is another reason I think it is a major scam. If anybody know of anything to do please pass it on.

Man I am not alone...WOW...how can they do this? Well they have and have lost me as a customer for ever.

SCREW THEM!

I wrote to my state representatives, the local radio news station, the state attorney general, anyone I could think of on top of the Texas PUC (which I expect no action from). Those of you who are good writer, should write to your senators, representatives, attorney general, radio and television news stations. Now is a very good time for them to pay attention to the outcry.

I think it's amazing that Dynowatt went from the best price to the highest price electricity provider in time for our incentive checks. Are they going out of business and taking the money before they leave???

There's another site where people are writing complaints like these on. They are passing good information about what they have learned from Dynowatt and each other.

This is a ripoff and should not be tolerated without something that resembles a fight.

I'm furious to find my rate jumping from .14 to .25, and just in time for my son to be home from school and running the electricity like crazy on top of the summer heat. From $400 during holiday months to $955 this past cycle! Got my incentive check. I'm good for Dynowatt's economy. I tried to locate the board of directors of Dynowatt with no luck. Not that I expect them to care. I'd probably only encourage them to run faster if I told them that I somehow found the correct person to write to get some action against them.

We need help people. This is criminal and very wrong.

Dynowatts is the worst electricity

provider company that i've ever

experience. They 've jacked up the kw

price double. And i wonder what did

they base on for the price rising???

:( I Too just had the same experience, my bill in May was for about $185, then i get a $500+ bill in June!! I really don't know how they can legally do this and get away scott free.

I did not even give them the opportunity to continue to earn my business after a scam like this, I have already signed up with Reliant and got a rate of 14.22cents kwh till October and then it goes up to 15.8 kwh for the rest of my 2 year contract.

I was not about to have them do me a *FAVOR* by locking me in at a *** 16.1cent kwh rate after taking advantage already. I see them loosing over 70% of their customers, the only ones that will stay are the ones with too much money to even realize the difference.

Guest

I agree with both of you. My bill went from .17 per Kwh to a whopping .25 per Kwh for the June billing period.

This is 100% higher than the same time last year.

I was a satisfied Dynowatt customer, but now I am going to bail on them within the next 48 hours. This per Kwh is nothing short of highway robbery and I simply won't stand for it.

I agree with you and what Dynowatt did to us is called Cramming. They have no right to do that to us and us as consumers need to file a written complaint to the company and mail it with our bills.

If we disput any amount of our bills and not pay they cannot disconnect us for it. Make sure you file a complaint with the PUC and they can't go against your credit either until the issue is resolved.

Dynowatt started me out at 13pkh and without warning jumped it each month ,now it has doubled

dynowatt was eager to get me as a customer ,no deposit , started at .13kh each mo my bill has been more due to their variable rate. to top that off i cant get them on phone it says due to high call volume call back at a later date. then i was told i was on a commercial account after i told them it was a residential customer. i told them i would be changing then they offered m 11.2 for 2 years! i am set on changing no mater what they offer they cant be trusted to keep their word.

A total obscene action by electric company

These people are no less than Highway robbers, I *** near flipped seeing a $700 light bill. We are fighting terrorism on foreign soil but some of the great terrorists are right here. They throw a bomb like this when the innocent consumer is totally unaware of the conniving attitude of the company and their action can change the life style of the family, the travel plans, eating habbits, kids education and so on. There has to be a check and balance by some organization to watch such actions and provide some relief to the poor citizens. A class action law suit should be considered in this case.

This company is so bad I can not describe it in a small amount of words. They are a very sorry excuse of a utility provider.

why are they aloud to stay in business.

Who is in charge of this deregulation? Who is getting the money from this idea of deregulation, it certainlly is not a benefit for the american public

Guest

That is a *** comment putting blame on a political party.

Who would you blame for the financial crisis?

Don't forget, this type of thinking got Jimmy Carter elected, and you be the judge of what happened there.

Simple solution, Vote Democratic in November. The Republicans created this mess.

Dynowatt, why do they stick it to us, because of Deregulation and State Rep. Phil King of Weatherford Texas.

He is in the pocket of the providers. They have given him large amounts of money for his help in making this all about the utility companies. Why is there no consumer protection ask Phil King. Why can companies raise their rates as Phil King.

Why can Dynowatt lie and get away with it ask Phil King. Infact just like Dynowatt who does not answer their phone Phil King will not return yours!

Thanks to the people who live in his district the state is stuck with Phil King. Let the PUC of Texas know what you think and tell them what you think of Phil King!

Dynowatt Fraud Rip Off

I had the same problem with Amigo energy, and my son's went out of business, so he got switch the POLR at .27cents/Kwh.

Turns out we have all been victims of the spot market crooks and their speculation schemes, probably ex Enron people, that aren't already in jail.

The only good answer to the problem is to sign long term contracts with healthy REPs and to VOTE for all Demacrats this November and clean out the Republican crooks in Austin and Washington that let this happen!

This happened to me also. They went from .13, .16, .17 to .25.

The last bill I received was for .25 per kilowatt. This is outrageous.

I signed on to Reliant for a fixed amount over the next 2yrs. I haven't had time to send a complaint to the PUC, but I'm going to .
